Ten Thousand
The exercise is taking 100 of the same triangle and making one sculpture, and then taking those same 100 triangles and making a second sculpture entirely different from the first one.
You do this ninety-eight more times, for a total of ten-thousand hand cut triangles, and one hundred sculptures.
That’s the entire premise. The structural form here is limitless.

Focus and discipline.
The triangles are cut from 1/16” chipboard sheet material that is cut down using a straight edge and a knife. This ensures a plumb edge, whereas laser cutting relies on burning through the material which leaves a structural bevel to the face, and it burns and seals the edge which inhibits how the glue infiltrates and bonds between the seams.
They must be hand made, and each face must be accurate and with intent.
