Acamar
The name Acamar is derived from the Arabic meaning "the end of the river". This star is similar to but should not be confused with the star Achernar in the same constellation. Achernar is not visible from the Greek isles, hence the choice of Acamar as the river's end during the time of Hipparchus and, later, Ptolemy. Acamar itself is soon to exhaust the hydrogen in its core and is beginning the transition into its red giant phase.
