Dubhe
Dubhe got its name in 2016 derived from the Arabic word for 'bear'. The ancient Egyptians called it Ak, or 'The Eye'. Interestingly, although Dubhe is part of the constellation of Ursa Major, it is not part of the actual group of other Ursa Major stars that share a common motion through space. It does however have a faint companion star, and is therefore a binary star system. Dubhe is also the official star in the state of Utah's flag.
