Deneb
Deneb is known as the head of the Northern Cross constellation. We don’t actually know how far away it is, and estimates range from 1,400 to 2,600 light-years away. Being so bring, and yet so far away, we might guess that the star is absolutely massive. Since 1943, its color temperature has served as one of the stable references by which other stars are classified.
